Trainee joiner Jana Stolz among the top five in state competition
The competition DIE GUTE FORM organised by the Rhineland-Palatinate carpentry guild association annually honours the best journeyman's pieces from the state's carpentry and joinery guilds. This year, a total of 18 participants were honoured at an award ceremony held at the Eifel Museum in Mayen. Each district guild selects two trainees from all of the trainees to take part in the competition.
Our apprentice Mrs Jana Stolz was selected by the Bitburg carpentry guild to take part in the competition with her journeyman's piece, a carving box. Mrs Stolz came fourth in the competition. The jury also awarded her a special commendation and a cash prize.
Hendrik Hering, President of the State Parliament and patron of GUTEN FORM in Rhineland-Palatinate, praised the achievements of the participants as well as the skills and abilities of the Rhineland-Palatinate trades as a whole. He also thanked the companies that encouraged the trainees to achieve such outstanding results through their support.
According to jury member Frank Sprenger and Hermann Hubing, Managing Director of Tischlerrheinland-Pfalz , the competition entries were of a high standard, which the patron considered to be on a par with masterpieces.
