Gardening

The Euro-BBW grounds, with an area of ca. seven hectares most of which is parkland, allow plenty of opportunity for various planting, building and nurturing tasks. As well as that, a greenhouse and a converted assault course, the "sandpit", is at our trainees' disposal. Our gardeners (m/f) specializing in horticulture and landscape gardening are, however, also under contract in private gardens, public parks and children's playgrounds.
A lower grade course in this profession is also available, with a qualification in gardenwork.

The Euro-BBW has the facilities and diversity of contracts to enable an all year round training in the whole range of work including cutting and pruning, turf roofing, forestry work and tree felling, laying out plots, beds and ponds and building paths and walls.

Our trainees learn to transform a piece of wasteground into a planned garden. The third course year focuses on the independent realisation of projects like this, from customer advice, planning and procurement of materials to execution and invoicing. The projects are carried out within a framework of close co-operation between apprenticeship and vocational school.
