Carpentry

In our state-of-the-art joiners' workshop we are able to offer training in all areas of the trade. The trainees thereby take on internal as well as external contracts building, assembling or restoring furniture, doors, windows, staircases and drywall constructions under supervision of a master tradesperson. Beside the regular joiners profession we also offer a lower graded course with a qualification in woodworking.

The first year of this course focuses mainly on the basic disciplines such as surface finishing, cutting and joining. In the second year this is complemented by training in machine aided work, for example at the benchrouter, sliding table saw or surface planer.

Experienced trainees additionally work at the CNC milling machine using the software woodWOP 6.0. The second half of the third course year is taken up with intensive preparation for the final examination and work on the journeyman's piece - for which the apprentices at the Euro-BBW have repeatedly received awards. Trainees on the lower graded courses are prepared for a practical test, which is part of their final examination.
