Last school year, an English course was offered for the first time at the Euro BBW in preparation for the telc Business English Certificate B1/B2 in cooperation with the Bitburg Adult Education Center. The telc certificate is a European-recognized language certificate that demonstrates language competence in the four basic skills of speaking (oral production and oral interaction), writing, reading and listening comprehension (global and detailed comprehension as well as selective listening/reading).

Nine participants took the plunge and signed up for the course led by Ms. Serwas. Here they got to know the specific telc exam format, practiced it and expanded their vocabulary in the area of Business English.

On November 8, the time had come in our company: under the supervision of two colleagues from the Bitburg Adult Education Center, the written part of the exam took place first. Afterwards, the candidates were able to relax during the lunch break before taking the oral exam in pairs, which was conducted by two officially appointed telc examiners.

After a few weeks of waiting, during which some were still "jittering", the exam results were finally available. The joy was great: all nine candidates of the Euro BBW were able to successfully obtain a Business English certificate!

During a small ceremony, the principal Ms. Sommer-Schmeichel presented the long-awaited certificates and the course leader Ms. Serwas and the head of the school Ms. Sonndag also congratulated the candidates. The latter emphasized once again that the candidates had successfully passed an additional examination and that this special certificate was a valuable addition to their application documents.

The follow-up course started again in November with nine participants.
