Participants build golden town hall key

Together with their trainer Patrick Reis, our participants Emma, Daniela and Anton, who are currently completing a pre-vocational training measure in the field of materials processing, have recreated the key to Bitburg Town Hall out of wood and painted it gold. The key, of which there are several copies, has just been completed and is waiting to be handed over to the town of Bitburg.

Unless you come from a carnival stronghold and/or are familiar with carnival customs, you are probably wondering what this key is all about: On Weiberdonnerstag, exactly two weeks from today, the Bitburger Möhnen will traditionally storm the town hall at 11:11 a.m., seize the town key, cut off the mayor's tie and thus take over power over the town until Ash Wednesday.  To ensure that the storming of the town hall takes place in proper style, this golden town key has now been produced, which will be the best-kept utensil of the foolish days. It turned out really well for our participants!
