Open house in beautiful weather

The European Vocational Training Center attracted many visitors last Sunday on the occasion of its "Open Day", which this year was held under the motto "We love it colorful". In beautiful late summer weather, numerous interested citizens, business partners and friends of the house took the opportunity to learn about current projects and the work of the Euro-BBW. Many former trainees also made their way to Bitburg with their families - some of them from far away - to see friends and employees from back then again.

Young and old alike got their money's worth on Sunday: all departments had prepared information booths and hands-on activities. For example, visitors could make and print paper in the media design department, have a heart milled with their name in the carpentry department, play nostalgically on old computers and game consoles in the IT department, or take a crash course in MS Word or Excel with our office management specialists. The children could have their faces painted, ride horses from the Nengshof or take part in handicrafts and creative activities throughout the building.

Our employees also had a lot to do, looking after the stall of our Tea and Eifel Shop, the sale of colorful autumn plants in the greenhouse or the book and games flea market.

During lunch time, the cafeteria once again offered a colorful menu, but the potato pancake stand was also very busy throughout the day. Those who were more in the mood for something sweet could enjoy freshly baked Eifel yeast cakes and homemade classic cakes. For refreshment in between, there were delicious non-alcoholic cocktails in our kiosk.

Musical entertainment was provided by the Bitburg Municipal Music Association, the "house band" of the Euro-BBW and the band "Flott Fott - Eifel Rock Rustikal".

In the evening, the trainees and employees of the Euro-BBW were completely satisfied with the positive response of the numerous visitors, it was a successful day in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
