Farewell to our vocational school director Hans Kapser

On Friday, 01.09.2023 the vocational school said goodbye to the principal, Mr. Kapser, in a small ceremony in the conference hall.

Mrs. Sommer-Schmeichel is since this day the new principal of the vocational school in the Euro-BBW and has held the laudation with the suitable words (summary):

Almost exactly 3 years ago, Mr. Kapser came from the beautiful Free State of Bavaria to the even more beautiful Bitburg Land to take up work here as principal in a multi-professional team in a rehabilitation facility. With a great deal of commitment and even more speed, he has initiated many changes in a short period of time and, together with the school management team and secretariat, got them off the ground. These include the introduction of the school administration program edoo.sys, the digitalization of the timetable (Untis) and class books, learning platform Moodle, laptop carts, iPads and classrooms of the future.

Mr. Kapser has acted as a bridge builder, fostering collaboration between education and the school in projects such as the "Round Table" and the expansion of the subject conference work to include education. All of these renewals are now underway and the task now is to continue on this path with the new team.

Mr. Kapser, now in his well-deserved retirement - or as he called it, "pensioner's hole" - will soon take on a new task. The Senior Experten Service based in Bonn has offered him a project in Kazakhstan. There, as early as October, Mr. Kapser will be assisting a state construction college in Karaganda with preparations for international accreditation and implementation of the credit point system and the economization of the college.

Mrs. Sommer-Schmeichel thanked Mr. Kapser on behalf of all employees and wished him a pleasant "retirement".

As a reminder of his time at the Euro-BBW, the employees* collected. Mr. Kapser was very happy about the many beautiful, practical and culinary gifts from our tea store and the Bitburger Land.

As when he started 3 years ago, Mr. Kapser said goodbye with a hearty Bavarian breakfast with Weißwurst, Obazda and non-alcoholic Weißbier and thanked everyone - espeally Mr. Fusenig's team, who conjured up the delicious Bavarian breakfast.
