Shamrock and Leprechaun - European project group presents Ireland

A report from our BvB project group

Last Friday, on 12.04.24, we presented the country "Ireland" as a project group. The group is made up of participants in pre-vocational training (BvB).

The aim of the project was to select a country, in this case "Ireland", which we then presented. We involved all areas of the BvB: The garden area put together the Irish flag in the shape of flowers, which were placed in wooden boxes as decoration. The wooden boxes were made in the BvB carpentry workshop. The kitchen baked scones (an Irish tea cake) and apple cupcakes in the colors of the Irish flag, which we sold in the kiosk. We also had Irish black tea to try. A presentation about Ireland was also given, in which we talked about the sights, traditional food, fun facts, myths and legends.

There were many meetings before the project. We had at least one group meeting every week in which we clarified the whole process. Then we got down to work. The group divided up the tasks among themselves. Some were responsible for the presentation and the flyers, others for the decorations. We helped each other within the group. It was a bit stressful at times, but there was always someone ready to lend a helping hand.

We grew into a great community and are already looking forward to the next joint project!
