Support planning at eye level

A three-hour training course entitled "From support needs to objectives to measures" - sounds rather dry at first, doesn't it? But it's not at all!

In fact, this training is an important building block on the way to even greater self-determination for our rehabilitants. This is because it involves a workshop on how to organise their own rehabilitation process, in which our trainees take part together with our employees. In entertaining role plays, group work and discussions, they work on the topics of disability and impairment, respectful cooperation and successful communication within the rehabilitation team as well as setting goals in support planning.

After participants from the vocational preparation programme have already been trained, it is currently the first-year trainees who are working on this topic. The entire spectrum of staff is represented - teachers, trainers, psychologists, social pedagogues and residential group supervisors are all involved.

This gives the Euro-BBW rehabilitants the opportunity to actively shape the course of their programme and their support goals on an equal footing right from the start. The dialogue also makes it possible to understand the challenges of the other participants and to approach each other. And as you can see from the photos, this is not only instructive, but also seems to be a lot of fun!
