Tervetuloa in Bitburg!
As part of the long-standing partnership between the European Vocational Training Center and the Luovi Vocational Institute in Oulu, Finland, six Finnish trainees and two supervisors arrived at the Euro-BBW yesterday. The trainees are two media designers, two housekeepers, a prospective salesman and a prospective house technician, who will divide his time between GaLa and building services. They will all complete a 14-day training period with us at the Euro-BBW or in Bitburg companies and will apply the professional knowledge they have already acquired in the German working and training world, which is completely new to them.
But there is also a lot planned for their free time: Yesterday, our colleague Johannes Alff did not miss the opportunity to welcome our Finnish guests with a home-cooked meal at a welcome party in the Freizeithaus. In the next days the group will explore the region around Bitburg and Trier and probably some Christmas markets after work. A visit to the Bitburger Marken- und Erlebniswelt is also on the agenda, of course.
The professional internship abroad is financed with funds from the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union.
