The work on Crete is progressing

This year's natural stone training course on Crete is slowly coming to an end for our trainees and employees. In the meantime, many impressive photos of the progress of the individual works have arrived at the Euro-BBW, which we would like to publish here.

The course group 2021 had created as last project a beautiful fountain on the meditation path of the Orthodox Academy in Kolymbari, from which our five trainees in gardening and landscaping had to continue to work this year. New paths were laid out, a plateau with columns was built and a seat wall was constructed from hammer-straight masonry. They also laid two large mosaics from pebbles they had collected themselves.

Our three apprentice carpenters were busy restoring damaged chairs and tables, building new railings for the meditation path and making the formwork for the crowns on the columns.

Meanwhile, our two housekeeping trainees had a lot to do in the kitchen as they assist the cook Jiannis there in feeding all the people who are currently working at the Academy. We are already excited to see stuffed grape leaves, moussaka and souvlaki in our canteen in the near future.

We wish our trainees and colleagues a lot of fun during the last days on Crete and a good journey home! Thanks to Michael Hemmes for the many beautiful photos!
