Pecunia non olet

As one out of more than 400 regional playgroups a group of our participants took part in this year’s national „stock exchange business game“ by the savings banks. The competition started on 7th October 2016 and ended on 14th December 2016. During this period our group named Stratton Oakmont Re-Reloaded  was coached by Michael Sehr (teacher at our vocational school) and Marcus Dannehl (commercial trainer) and could increase its initial capital of 50,000 Euro to 54,930.90 Euro. With this result they achieved second place within the catchment area of the regional savings bank of Bitburg-Prüm and sixth place within the catchment area of all four regional savings banks. We would like to congratulate Stratton Oakmont Re-Reloaded most sincerely on this fantastic result!

Background: The „stock exchange business game“ should playfully familiarize pupils of all kinds of schools with economic issues and their practical implications. The groups obtain a virtual initial capital amounting to 50,000 Euro which they should increase as much as possible by clever investment strategies.
