New round of the project „Considering a baby“ started

You can hear babies crying in the corridors of the Euro-BBW, but don't worry: Just now, a new round of the project „Considering a baby“ has been started.

For several years now, this project has been carried out with the participants of pre-vocational training, which is intended to provide information and experience. The project lasts two days per group and is carried out with a total of 4 groups of 10 people each.

At the beginning, the participants receive information on various topics related to family planning such as life planning, sexuality, partnership, infant care or upbringing. For example, they get to know various contraceptives, how a pregnancy takes place and how the body changes, how to feed an infant, what a baby needs in terms of material things, where to apply for child benefit, in which play and sports groups one can participate, etc., but also what support is available in case of parental distress.
After this preparation, 2 persons (there are also some "single parents") each get a baby simulator that expresses real needs like a newborn, and that very individually - just like in real life. The participants now have to take care of their "baby" for two days and meet its different needs.
