Masterful performance of our former trainee

„Form your future“ is the motto of the European Vocational Training Centre – and this is precisely what our former trainee Matthias Krier has taken to heart: He has completed his master’s certificate in joinery.

We have met him at the Volksbank Bitburg where all the masterpieces of the recent master carpenters where exhibited and asked him what he experienced after his completion of training at the Euro-BBWE in 2008.

Immediately after his journeyman’s examination, Matthias Krier started his first employment in a medium-sized joinery which produces high-end furniture. He worked about three years in this company before he changed to another joinery which does not only produce furniture, but also windows and doors, wooden floors, stairs etc. After severy years of working in this company, Mr. Krier had the idea to register in the master class joinery at the Chamber of Crafts in Trier. During 1,5 years he attended this class on Saturdays and on one or two weekdays in the evening.

During this time at the master class he met a colleague who convinced him to submit an application at his company in Luxembourg – where Mr. Krier has been working now for 1,5 years and where he can exploit his good PC and CNC skills

In February 2019, Mr. Krier has successfully completed his master’s certificate in joiner. Together with this former trainer, Mr. Hans-Josef Schon, we visited him at the Volksbank Bitburg and – first of all – admired his really beautiful masterpiece. Mr. Schon, who stayed in contact with Matthias Krier in all these years, is very impressed by his former trainee and proposes smilingly that he could now return to the Euro-BBW as a trainer. Let’s wait… :-)

The employees of the European Vocational Training Centre are very proud of Matthias Krier express congratulations to him for his completed master’s certificate and wish him all the best for his future!
