Graduation ceremony of the graduates of the Euro-BBW

A total of 48 graduates of the 2022 summer examination were bidden farewell yesterday, Thursday, July 21, 2022, during an atmospheric ceremony at the European Vocational Training Center. In addition to parents, relatives and employees of the Euro-BBW, the board of the DRK regional association of Rhineland-Palatinate as a representative of the sponsor, representatives of the Trier Employment Agency, the Luxembourg Employment Service ADEM and the Trier Chamber of Commerce and Industry were also present.

In her welcoming speech, Euro-BBW director Anita Sonndag pointed out the difficulties this year's class had to face due to the Corona pandemic and was pleased that the graduates could finally be given a proper send-off with a celebration. Manuel Gonzalez, Chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate Regional Association of the German Red Cross, also gave a welcoming speech, which not only recognized the graduates for their achievements, but also expressed his appreciation to the staff of the Euro-BBW. Afterwards, the chairpersons of the participants' representatives bid farewell to their colleagues with words of encouragement and empathy. Ronald Fröhling, Head of Counseling and Support, provided a humorous "Kehraus" by ironically reviewing the training period with a change of perspective.

With personal words, Anita Sonndag then led through the ceremony of awarding the certificates and created a cheerful atmosphere. Principal Hans Kapser presented special awards to three students who achieved average grades between 1.0 and 1.1. The ceremony was framed with specially selected musical contributions that were well suited to the occasion.

After the official graduation ceremony of this year's graduates, the graduates of the past two years and their families as well as the participants and employees of the Euro-BBW went to the Freizeithaus, where everything was already prepared for an informal outdoor party with the motto "Hawaii". With suitable music, decorations, summer cocktails and culinary delicacies, everyone was able to say goodbye once again in person or to see their reference persons and fellow trainees again. The photo box, which had been rented especially for the occasion, was also put to great use, with graduates from all three years eagerly taking individual souvenir photos of their time at the Euro-BBW.
