"Written in an image" - BvB visits exhibition at Haus Beda

Yesterday our pre-vocational training (BvB) groups Economy and Administration 1 and 2 visited the exhibition "In ein Bild geschrieben / Written in an image" by Roland Fischer at Haus Beda in Bitburg.

Led by Birgit Klinkhammer, the groups took part in a guided tour of this photo exhibition, which focuses mainly on people and architecture. As for the theme "people", portraits are shown on the series Nuns and Monks, Los Angeles, Chinese Pool and Collective Portraits. Particularly impressive is the collage of 1050 portraits of pilgrims of the Way of St. James, presented as a 10-meter-long wall installation. The theme "Architecture" includes series on cathedrals, the Alhambra, New Architectures, facades and Transhistorical Places. Among other things, Roland Fischer creates iconic images by superimposing views of the exterior facades with views of the interior spaces.

Afterwards, our participants and colleagues visited the Fritz von Wille Museum as well as the impressive ballroom.  Everyone was very enthusiastic about the excursion and followed the tour with interest.
