"Fresh-IT-up" was at work again!

Today, IT instructor Christian Humpert and some of his trainees were able to hand over refurbished computers and monitors to Alibi Eifelservice gGmbH as part of the cooperation project "Fresh-IT-up".

In the past day our prospective IT specialists of the Euro-BBW have reformatted the computers and prepared them for reuse and then equipped them with a different operating system. Today these refurbished computers were handed over to representatives of Alibi Eifelservice gGmbH. They were very pleased and thanked us very much. The devices will now be made available in the second-hand department store at a favorable price, so that people with low incomes can also participate in the digital world. In addition, the "Fresh-IT-up" project offers further benefits: Our IT trainees can use these real jobs to get a taste of operational working air and do something for a good cause at the same time. By reusing old computers, valuable raw materials do not have to be mined for new equipment. And recycling old electrical equipment helps prevent electronic waste, which is unfortunately also exported illegally in large quantities to countries outside the EU.
