German-French exchange gains pace

On September 12 and 13, Dominique Lelong-André and Christophe Thévin from the Lycée Professionnel Saint-Jean from Sannois near Paris visited us to discuss and prepare in detail the upcoming exchange of trainees in the field of carpentry with Mathieu Ratajczak (Staff Quality and Development) and Andreas Bartsch (Head of Department Vocational Qualification and Labor Market Integration).

Anika Roshan, German delegate of the German-French agency for exchange in vocational education ProTandem, as well as her colleague Marc Meyer, French delegate of ProTandem, were also present to supervise the preparations.

After employees of the Euro-BBW had already visited the French institution "Apprentis d'Auteuil" in June, our French partners were now able to visit the European Vocational Training Center and especially our carpentry workshop. The meeting also dealt with organizational matters such as financing, forms and documents to be signed, language support and the exact program of the exchange. After a detailed tour of the Euro-BBW, the exact program for the stay in Germany in March 2023 was determined.

The first exchange will take place from 8.10 to 22.10.2022 in Sannois, where, in addition to work and learning, a cultural program is also planned. A visit to a furniture museum exhibiting masterpieces from the 17th and 18th centuries is planned, as well as, of course, the classics: a tour of the "Tour Eiffel" and a boat trip on the Seine.
