President of the Supervision and Service Administration Body (ADD) Thomas Linnertz visits Euro-BBW

Within the framework of a tour, Mr Linnertz got to know the most important training and school areas of our vocational training centre and took the opportunity to catch up on the details by talking to trainees and trainers.

The Supervision and Service Administration Body (ADD) based in Trier is a central administrative authority of Rhineland-Palatinate and has the function of an intermediary between the government of Rhineland-Palatinate (ministries) and local autonomy. It is functionally responsible for different tasks which are also important for the European Vocational Training Centre. Besides school authorities (division 3), the ADD is also responsible for certain vocational profiles and conducts the examinations of housekeepers (division 1: central tasks).

Cross-border collaboration in Europe is also one part of these tasks. This was a reason for president Thomas Linnertz to gain a personal impression of the Euro-BBW which is the biggest training centre in our region. Manuel Gonzalez, management of the DRK-Landesverband Rhineland-Palatinate as body responsible for the Euro-BBW, and Günther Weydt, director of the Euro-BBW as well as Prof. Dr. Bertold Hornetz, principal of our vocational school, presented the evolution of the newest vocational training centre in Germany, its training offer and beneficiaries and especially its European profile. Within the framework of a tour, Mr Linnertz got to know the most important training and school areas of our vocational training centre and took the opportunity to catch up on the details by talking to trainees and trainers. Mr Linnertz‘ visit took about three hours’ time, he was very interested in the work of the Euro-BBW and was impressed by its training and support opportunities.
