Specific services

Medical care services are provided by consultants (general practitioners, psychiatrists, neurologists). The head of the department Counselling and Individual Support is responsible for the co-operation with the consultants.

In-house measures for prophylaxis and prevention of somatic diseases as well as for parts of the basic care and treatment are provided. In addition, co-operation is carried out with an external provider of nursing services for basic care and treatment measures.
The members of the Medical Services and Health Care Department staff advise persons undergoing rehabilitation with regard to their health-related behaviour, carry out basic care and treatment, provide initial medical care in the case of casualties and manage the in-house pharmacy.

Services of the consultants and external providers of nursing care:

Support by specialists for persons undergoing rehabilitation through regular in-house consulting hours (on the basis of free choice of physician)
Medical counselling for participants, staff and members of the family
Basic care and treatment at regular hours of the day (at most every morning and evening)

In-house services offered:

Co-operation in ergonomic and individual design of workplaces
Provision of basic care and treatment as required beyond the support furnished by external provider of nursing care
Counselling for participants, staff and members of the family regarding preventive and health-promoting measures
Individual physiotherapeutic treatment
Health-related group activities (e.g. weight reduction, physiotherapy)
Provision of initial care in the case of accidents
Co-operation with the medical service of the cost units
