Within the framework of vocational qualification the European Vocational Training Centre Bitburg offers young people with disabilities and special needs the possibility to participate in pre-vocational training measures following the educational plan of the Federal Labour Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) in accordance with § 61 SGB III.
The measures aim at preparing the
participants for taking up a vocational
training or enabling a direct integration
into the labour market.
Attention is mainly focused on vocational
orientation in a broad offer of
different vocational fields as well as
teaching the basic qualifications
necessary for taking up a training or
employment as well as developing
and fostering intervocational competences
and key qualifications.
The offers - among which the participants can choose - encompass a differentiated analysis of aptitude, the basic level with the core element "Vocational Orientation/Choice of Career", the advanced level with the core element "Basic Vocational Abilities" and the interim qualification with the core element "Qualification Oriented Towards the Vocation and the Company".
The offer is complemented by periods of practical work experience as well as by an instruction providing an allround education and technical theory which is assured by the State-approved private vocational school of the European Vocational Training Centre. Its contents which are oriented towards the syllabi of the county of Rhineland-Palatinate accompany the participants at all measure levels.
The participants of pre-vocational training measures in the European Vocational Training Centre become acquainted with the following fields of activity and the job outlines resulting out of them:
The measures are realized at different learning places in the European Vocational Training Centre
and in the companies providing periods of practical work experience.
The length of the measure depends on the individual course and approval of the Labour Agency. It usually lasts between 11 and a maximum of 18 months.
