Atmospheric completion of training at the Euro-BBW

At this year’s closing ceremony on 29th June 2017 we could bid farewell to a total of 48 successful graduates of the European Vocational Training Centre.

Within the framework of an atmospheric ceremony in our sports and leisure center, the former trainees in 14 different vocational trainings got their examination certificates as well as their training and vocational school reports. Besides parents, relatives, staff and participants of the Euro-BBW, Rudolf Rinnen and Michael Ringelstein, aldermen of the Eifel district and the city of Bitburg, representatives of the labor administrations in Trier and Luxembourg and other partner institutions were present.

Anita Sonndag, head of training at the Euro-BBW, anchored the program with reflective and humorous comments consistent with the individual vocations. Günther Weydt, director of the Euro-BBW, pointed to the numerous additional qualifications acquired by the graduates who are now specialists urgently required by economy. He was pleased that so many graduates already have job confirmations. Harry Ziegler als stellvertretender Schulleiter würdigte herausragende Leistungen und überreichte Wertgutscheine an die besten Schüler/innen.

Besides an audio-visual review of the training period, Ronald Fröhling, head of advisory services, gave insight into real living and working in the Euro-BBW with all its serious and funny aspects. Our band „Systemfehler“ provided for „unplugged music“ and some trainees for a dancing “flashmob” which was specially rehearsed for this event. After the ceremony, the alumni had the opportunity for personal talks with summer cocktails and snacks on the terrace of our canteen, to say good-bye to trainers, teachers and counsellors.
