We offer training for two professions in the travel and tourism industry:

• Tourism and leisure agent (m/f) (three year full qualification)
• Tourism services management clerk for individual holidays and business trips (m/f) (three year full qualification)

Tourism services management clerks for individual and business trips (m/f) plan the whole course of holidays or business tips. They organize individual and package holidays and collaborate with public transportation services and other service providers within the tourism branch. In the travel agency, they advise customers about holidays and business trips, find out journey details and accommodations at the desired dates and make reservations. They plan and organize business trips for business clients, book e.g. flights and hotel rooms, hire cars and undertake the claims for travel expenses. In all fields, they also have to execute commercial and administrative tasks such as calculating offers of package holidays and individual tours or recording and editing transactions, bills and receipts, taking into account operational and legal guidelines.

Tourism and leisure agents (m/f) advise and inform customers about regional touristic services, attractions and offers. They organize events and realize marketing concepts to promote regional tourism. They can be employed, for example, in regional and local tourist offices, accommodation facilities, companies offering excursions and journeys, and tourism associations or recreational facilities (adventure parks, holiday camps etc.). Subsequent to the vocational qualification they assume tasks like e.g. the development, transmission and sale of tourist and leisure-time products or services, the coordination of regional and local touristic offers according to the customers‘ wishes or the advice and care of customers and offer of services.

Our in-house travel agency "weltweit" additionally gives trainees the opportunity to practice customer service over the counter. Customers can get complete offers for package, group or business trips, view catalogues and get price comparisons. We are cooperating with different tourism companies such as hotels, airlines, tourist offices, tour operators or insurance companies.

In the marketing sector they create newsletters as well as the intranet site of our travel agency and take on the decoration and design of the travel agency.

Our travel agency is a business customer of the national rail company Deutsche Bahn, which means we are able to offer rail tickets on location to the participants as a special service.
